女 ，汉族 ，1937年生 ，广东番禺人。第一批国家级非物质文化遗产项目粤绣（广绣）代表性 传承人 ，中国工艺美术大师。 陈少芳1962年毕业于广州美术学院 ，曾编写《广绣》一书作为 培养年轻学员的教科书 ，从而打破了完全需要师徒手口相传的传统模式。 为了留住手艺 ，她 费时十年 ，巧妙构思 ，用传统的百鸟百花题材作长卷构图 ，将广绣大部分的针法和技巧保存 其中 ，成为具有总结性和示范性的技法实物。她还结合中西绘画的色彩构成原理创出了独特 的 “刺绣丝线色彩构成法” ，并研究出 “现代艺术肖像绣”的表现方法。 目前 ，陈少芳致力 于将自己近年来攻克的广绣新技法撰写成书 ，以便广泛流传。 陈少芳培训的技术人员众多， 她的两个儿子和儿媳较全面地继承了广绣技艺。代表作品有：《牧羊姑娘》《晨曦》《岭南 锦绣》等。
