男 ，汉族 ，1928年生 ，2009年去世 ，湖北荆州人。第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目鼓盆歌 代表性传承人。沙市纺织一厂退休工人。 1954年加入梅台巷歌班 ，师从王兴周。 目前 ，已收 集改编和独立创作鼓盆歌歌词七百余段 ，为鼓盆歌的传承保留了大量的文字和音像资料。其 演唱的《绣荷包》分别被《中国民歌集成·湖北卷》《中国曲艺音乐集成·湖北卷》录用。几十 年来 ，以其长期对鼓盆歌丰硕的研究和实践成果 ，被业内人士称为 “活辞典”。
