男 ，汉族 ，1949年生 ，湖北潜江人。第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目皮影戏（江汉平原皮 影戏）代表性传承人。刘年华1961年随祖父到潜江皮影队学艺 ，拜万光禄为师 ，又得祖师周 天元亲身传授。他精通鸡鸣腔、渔鼓腔皮影戏 ，并从事皮影雕刻艺术。他雕刻皮影近六百余 件 ，皮影头茬近两千余个 ，改编移植剧本三百多个 ，传教徒弟二十余人。他精通祖传的鸡鸣 腔、渔鼓腔的各种打击乐和弦乐扬琴 ，并能够一人使用多种乐器配合演唱 ，至今在江汉平原 各地拥有广泛的群众基础。
