男 ，汉族 ，1950年生 ，辽宁瓦房店人。第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目皮影戏（复州皮影 戏）代表性传承人。宋国超从1960年开始跟随父亲宋喜云学习复州皮影戏艺术 ，1970年主持 “义和班”工作 ，开始从事复州皮影戏艺术的保护、发展和传承工作。他精通复州皮影戏的 编剧、导演、操影、刻影、 司鼓、演唱等技艺 ，保持了复州皮影戏的传统韵味 ，除组织皮影 班深入农民群众中演出外 ，还培养了宋国君、宋娜等一批新的传人。
