男 ，汉族 ，1938年生 ，河北阜城人。第一批国家级非物质文化遗产项目衡水内画代表性传承 人 ，中国工艺美术大师。 王习三生于北京 ，高中毕业后考入北京工艺美术研究所 ，拜著名内 画艺人叶晓峰为师 ，成为祖传五代的 “叶派” 内画的第一位外姓传人。 “文革”时被遣返回 原籍 ，1977年调回衡水 ，创建特种工艺厂。 自1968年以来 ，他陆续培养出众多内画新秀 ，为 “冀派” 内画烟壶艺术的创始人。他的作品题材广泛 ，形神兼备 ，书画并茂。他把国画的皴 、擦、染、点、 勾、 丝等技法引入内画 ，运笔灵活。他还兼收并蓄其他姊妹艺术营养 ，首创 如今被内画界广泛使用的 “金属杆勾毛笔” ，并开创 “油彩内画技法”。 1983年 ，他被国际 烟壶学会授予该会的第一位中国籍 “荣誉会员” ，代表作品有《美国历届总统肖像系列烟壶 》《中国历代名君》《珍品图》等。
