男 ，汉族 ，1932年生 ，山西朔城人。第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目秧歌戏（朔州秧歌 戏）代表性传承人 ，国家二级演员。 张元业出身于秧歌世家 ，为第四代朔城秧歌传承人。 1948年至1952年 ，他先后拜薛宏、 常海为师学艺 ，并被朔州、应县、 内蒙古等地区的很多秧 歌班社聘为青衣演员。 1953年至1956年 ，他在新乐剧团担任青衣演员； 1956年至1976年， 担任朔城区大秧歌剧团团长； 1976年至1996年 ，任朔城区秧歌培训班负责人； 1996年至今 担任朔城区大秧歌剧团名誉团长。其表演做功大方、细腻逼真 ，擅长表演上吊流血、 刀砍颜 面、 口中喷火等特技。代表作品有：《夜宿花亭》《明公断》等。
