女 ，汉族 ，1926年生 ，浙江绍兴人。第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目越剧代表性传承人， 一级演员 ，享受国务院政府特殊津贴。 王文娟1940年开始学艺 ，先后师承竺素娥、 支兰芳。 王文娟长期在上海越剧院从艺 ，是王派花旦创始人 ，其表演文武兼备、细腻传神 ，善于描摹 人物神态 ，在舞台上出色地创造了多个性格鲜明的舞台形象 ，代表作品有《红楼梦》《春香 传》《追鱼》等。
