男 ，汉族 ，1951年生 ，福建连江人。第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目闽剧代表性传承人， 原福州市闽剧院院长 ，一级演员。林培新1960年进入三明市艺术学校 ，师从闽剧名家张平澜 、李小白 ，专工文武小生 ，其戏路宽广 ，能演小生、 武生、老生、 文丑等角色 ，表演风格高 雅、潇洒 ，道白清晰 ，唱腔优美 ，婉转流畅。代表作品有：《白蛇传》《三搜幻化庵》《御 碑亭》《十一郎》等。
