女 ，汉族 ，1935年生 ，北京人。第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目京剧代表性传承人 ，京剧 表演艺术家 ，一级演员 ，享受国务院政府特殊津贴。刘秀荣12岁入北平四维戏剧学校学习， 排名刘维蔓 ，1949年后转入中国戏曲学校 ，1952年拜王瑶卿为师 ，1961年拜尚小云为师。 师承梅兰芳、荀慧生、芙蓉草、 华慧麟、方连元等先生 ，开拓了戏路 ，特别是她得到王瑶卿 的器重 ，学习了 “王派”代表作《珍珠烈火旗》《棋盘山》等 ，被公认为自20世纪50年代始 受王瑶卿教益最多 ，把 “王派”艺术展现在舞台上最好的一位传人。刘秀荣为中国京剧院主 要演员 ，代表作品有《审头刺汤》《汾河湾》《白蛇传》等。
