女 ，汉族 ，1944年生 ，广东陆丰人。第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目正字戏代表性传承 人 ，广东省陆丰市正字戏剧团艺术指导 ，国家三级导演。 彭美英15岁考入陆丰县双喜正字戏 剧团 ，随后进入汕头戏曲学校学习正字戏专业 ，学艺期间曾先后得到正字戏著名表演艺术家 陈宝寿、 曾广照、 黄学明的悉心指导。 自1962年至1976年 ，彭美英主演了《百花赠剑》《荆 钗记》等正字戏优秀传统剧目 ，1976年开始致力正字戏接班人的培养 ，其表演基本功扎实， 并能跨行传教生、 净等行当的一些剧目。
