男 ，汉族 ，1949年生 ，湖南耒阳人。第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目湘剧代表性传承人， 国家二级演奏员。谭东波12岁入衡阳市文艺学校 ，师从李育全学习湘剧传统声腔音乐 ，后又 向谭保成等多位专家求教相关音乐理论 ，较为全面地继承了衡阳湘剧声腔音乐。谭东波从 1980年至今一直从事湘剧音乐的创作、研究与教学工作 ，代表作品有《贺龙军长》《红色娘 子军》等。
