女 ，汉族 ，1965年生 ，重庆渝中人。第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目川剧代表性传承人， 重庆市川剧院院长 ，一级演员 ，中国戏剧二度梅花奖获得者 ，享受国务院政府特殊津贴。沈 铁梅出身梨园世家 ，其父沈福存为当今闻名全国的京剧表演艺术家 ，她师承于著名川剧表演 艺术家竞华并深得其真传 ，后又受教于胡喻华、 高凤莲等川剧名家 ，其表演博采众长 ，自成 一体 ，技艺精湛 ，唱腔优美 ，被戏剧界公认为 “川剧声腔女状元”。代表作品有：《金子》 《李亚仙》《三祭江》《思凡》等。
