男 ，汉族 ，1933年生 ，四川岳池人。第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目川剧代表性传承人， 二级导演。夏庭光自幼随父搭班于民间戏班 ，后进入重庆市川剧院 ，主工文武小生 ，曾师从 张德成、 彭天喜、 姜尚峰等川剧表演艺术家。其表演文武兼备 ，戏路宽广 ，演出代表作品有 《辞朝》《长坂坡》等。 1952年开始 ，夏庭光兼任导演 ，代表作品有《十五贯》《赵氏孤儿 》《枫叶红了的时候》等。
