男 ，彝族 ，1942年生 ，云南石屏人。第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目彝族海菜腔代表性传 承人。务农为生。 14岁起拜当地有名的 “海菜腔师傅” “ 曲子老板”艺人李发忠、 母亲万竹 英等人为师 ，20岁后能熟练掌握海菜腔、 四腔、 山药腔、 五山腔、 民间小调等本地民歌的唱 法和技巧。 1984年 ，参加石屏县举办的首届民族民间赛歌赛舞会获得三个优胜一等奖。 1993 年应中央音乐学院田丰教授邀请 ，出任云南民族文化传习馆教员。 长期从事传统文化的教学 工作 ，学员遍及云南各地。
