女 ，汉族 ，1935年生 ，湖北兴山人。第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目兴山民歌代表性传承 人。 8岁学艺。 1950年在丈夫万能银等人的教导下 ，学会了一百多首兴山民歌 ，系兴山民歌 第四代传人。 1981年参加兴山县 “首届山歌会”后 ，名噪一时 ，同时将兴山民歌带入人们视 线。 2002年被授予首批 “宜昌市优秀民间艺人”称号 ，2003年被授予 “宜昌市文化中心户” 称号 ，2006年获得 “兴山县十大优秀民间艺人”等称号。从艺六十余载 ，被誉为 “三峡歌后 ”。其嗓音甜美 ，发声圆润 ，感情丰富 ，代表作品有《郎在高山打伞来》《唱得昭君回娘家 》等。
