男 ，汉族 ，1926年生 ，北京人。第一批国家级非物质文化遗产项目中药炮制技术代表性传承 人 ，北京卫生学校主任中药师 ，首都医科大学中医药学院客座教授 ，享受国务院政府特殊津 贴。金世元学徒期间师从赵俊霆学习各种炮制操作技术 ，通过五年的时间 ，熟练操作炮制技 巧。 1940年金世元参加了 “北京中药讲习所” ，师从汪逢春、赵树屏等中医大家 ，系统学习 中医药基础理论知识 ，学习和研究历代有关中药炮制文献和基本理论 ，继承传统炮制技艺精 华 ，研究改进炮制操作技术。他跑遍全国各地药材市场 ，练就一套鉴别真伪药材的功夫。与 此同时 ，为了加强中药人才的培养 ，1961年北京市卫生局决定在北京卫生学校开设中药专 业 ，金世元在该校任教三十多年 ，培养中药专业人员1200人。 1990年被遴选为全国第一批 500名中医名师带徒的导师之一 ，先后两批共带学生四人 ，均已出师。著有《中成药的合理使 用》 ，主编《中药炮制学》等著作 ，发表专业论文六十余篇。
