男 ，汉族 ，1933年生 ，江苏苏州人。第一批国家级非物质文化遗产项目制扇技艺代表性传承 人 ，苏州民间工艺家。徐义林15岁拜师胡汉东制扇作坊学艺 ，几十年一直耕耘不辍 ，从事折 扇造型的研究和制作 ，如今研制的各式精品苏州雅扇已达百余种。折扇的扇骨制作是整把折 扇的核心所在 ，以变化丰富和精工细致而闻名。徐义林制作的扇骨工艺精巧、款式丰富、雅 俗共赏 ，具有浓厚的文人气息。此外 ，他还善于修复各类老旧扇骨 ，品位、技艺在江南一带 首屈一指 ，被行家称为 “江南扇王” ，并且已将自己的两个儿子培养成制扇传人。代表作品 有： “孔雀牌”水磨骨折扇、 9.5 × 18水磨骨竹折扇等。
