男 ，汉族 ，1928年生 ，2009年去世 ，四川大英人。第一批国家级非物质文化遗产项目自贡井 盐深钻汲制技艺代表性传承人。严昌武12岁随舅父学习卓筒井井盐深钻汲制技艺及全套工艺 流程 ，能将懒子、筒匠、灶匠、搬车匠所掌握的技艺也一并完成。他是这项技艺的第四十五 代传人 ，尽管随着科技的不断提高 ，真空制盐取代了手工制盐 ，但由于历史和自然的原因， 自贡卓筒井传承近千年 ，生产从未中断。作为这项技艺的传人 ，他孜孜不倦地工作了近七十 年 ，他不仅传承了井盐深钻汲制技艺 ，还传承了卓筒井一切生产工具的制作工序。 2006年， 他制作的深钻汲制工具筒车、 羊角车、 平车、钻头、椎架子、 冲条等三十多件作品参加了在 北京举行的 “ 中国非物质文化遗产保护成果展”现场展示。他曾被大英县文物管理所聘为传 承这项技艺的指导老师 ，积极地向后来人传授这一珍贵的手艺。
