男 ，苗族 ，1951年生 ，贵州雷山人。第一批国家级非物质文化遗产项目苗族芦笙制作技艺代 表性传承人。莫厌学自幼跟随家人学习祖传的芦笙制作技艺 ，他制作的芦笙工艺精细、外观 漂亮、声音悦耳动听 ，把传统的六管发展到今天的十五至二十四管 ，大芦笙的整体长度能达 到六七米 ，远销海内外。莫厌学从事芦笙制作已有四十年历史 ，积累了丰富的经验。近年他 和儿子把主要精力集中在研制新品二十四管四十八音芦笙上。他制作的红木笙脚十五管芦笙 被贵州省文学艺术界联合会作为十大民间工艺精品收藏。莫厌学自2002年开始 ，屡屡获奖， “贵州省十大民间工艺大师” “贵州省民间高级工匠师”等都是对他成绩的肯定。在他的带 动下 ，该村能够制作芦笙的农户都得到了很好的经济收益。
