男 ，汉族 ，1949年生 ，江苏苏州人。第一批国家级非物质文化遗产项目香山帮传统建筑营造 技艺代表性传承人。 陆耀祖青年时期随父亲学习传统建筑中的大木作、木装修等技艺 ，现已 全面、熟练地掌握木作技术 ，以及一些濒临失传的传统工艺。 陆耀祖自20世纪70年代开始， 陆续承担虎丘盆景院、北塔公园一期工程、寒山寺复修等古建筑修复工程 ，得到了社会和专 家的一致肯定。近期他还主持了美国 “兰苏园”、法国 “湖心亭”的建造任务 ，向国外友人 呈现了高超的中国古典木作工艺。他积极培训古建筑技术工人 ，总人数已逾百人。他还编写 了古建筑工人技术鉴定规范 ，从而提升了古建筑工人的整体技术能力。
