男 ，汉族 ，1932年生 ，浙江嵊州人。第一批国家级非物质文化遗产项目嵊州竹编代表性传承 人 ，中国工艺美术大师。俞樟根8岁随父学习竹编技艺； 1950年进入新创办的竹编企业从事 竹编工作； 1958年转入嵊县工艺竹编厂 ，先后担任竹编厂创新设计组组长、研究所所长至退 休。俞樟根从艺至今已有六十多个年头 ，他掌握了竹编艺术中的所有编织技法 ，粗细并举， 细者能在一寸长度内编进150根篾丝 ，精巧细腻 ，薄如蝉翼。 同时 ，他还新创了十余种编织新 技法。他先后创作编织了二百多种竹编产品 ，首创编织动物类竹编产品 ，并与徒弟合作出版 《竹编工艺》《竹编》两本工具书 ，代表作品有《九狮舞绣球》《麻姑献寿》《群鸡》等。
