女 ，汉族 ，1941年生 ，江苏无锡人。第一批国家级非物质文化遗产项目泥塑（惠山泥人）代 表性传承人 ，中国工艺美术大师。 王南仙祖辈以做泥人为生 ，她是家传第四代传人。 1956年 ，王南仙考入江苏省泥塑彩绘训练班 ，系统学习了素描、雕塑、色彩、 写生、 文艺理 论和戏曲基础知识 ，启蒙老师是虞仁金。后又在惠山泥人厂跟随彩绘大师陈毓秀专攻彩绘技 法。 20世纪80年代 ，先后三次前往南京博物院临摹清代作品 ，并且得到戏曲名家的指导。 王 南仙全面继承了惠山手捏戏文彩绘、装銮技法 ，做到 “新、清、 齐、 爆”彩绘四字要诀 ，娴 熟地运用这些技艺不断创作出新的作品。代表作品有：《寿桃菩萨》《年年乐》。
