男 ，汉族 ，1932年生 ，2012年去世 ，湖南邵阳人。第一批国家级非物质文化遗产项目竹刻 （宝庆竹刻）代表性传承人。 曾剑潭自幼喜爱竹刻艺术 ，12岁跟随宝庆著名的竹刻大师王民 生学艺 ，深得王民生祖传竹刻技艺的精髓。 曾剑潭擅长竹青雕刻、翻簧竹刻 ，精通高浮雕、 浅浮雕、 圆雕、镂空雕 ，阳刻、 阴刻。他以刀代笔 ，雕工老到 ，运刀流利奔放 ，技艺非凡。 其作品构图严谨缜密 ，注重虚实表达。人物、 山水、花鸟皆擅长 ，在表现方法上追求古代工 笔画细致准确、生动传神的古典韵味。 曾剑潭不仅技艺精湛 ，还积极授徒 ，为宝庆竹刻的传 承做出了贡献。代表作品有：《雄观沧海》《潇湘八景》《洞庭岳阳楼》等。
