男 ，汉族 ，1950年生 ，广东潮州人。第一批国家级非物质文化遗产项目潮州木雕代表性传承 人 ，中国工艺美术大师。 陈培臣1962年随父亲陈舜羌进入潮州市工艺美术研究所学习潮州木 雕传统技艺 ，经过四十多年的艺术实践 ，练就了精湛的技艺 ，特别在大型木雕《虾蟹篓》的 设计制作上推陈出新 ，独具一格。他对潮州木雕的各种制作技艺都能得心应手 ，他的作品构 思独特、布局饱满、 制作精良、 工艺细腻、通透纤薄、刻画逼真。他还组织创办了陈舜羌木 雕艺术促进会 ，引导潮州木雕界同仁合作共进。代表作品有：《宣炉罩》《富饶的南海》《 虾蟹篓》等。
