男 ，汉族 ，1949年生 ，安徽歙县人。第一批国家级非物质文化遗产项目徽州三雕代表性传承 人。方新中自幼学习绘画及木、竹、石雕技艺 ，于1985年考入安徽省徽州古典园林建设公 司 ，专门从事木、竹、石雕刻。方新中十分擅长砖雕技艺 ，在继承传统技艺的过程中 ，不断 充实、 丰富 ，勇于实践 ，大胆创新 ，自行设计制作了各式大小砖雕作品。代表作品有：《松 鹤图》《走进徽州》等。
